Hilo Jr. Tennis Club
The Hilo Junior Tennis Club sponsors tournaments each year to enable all of our club members to play in tournaments and experience competitive play.
The terms "Challenger" or "Open" refer to the player's playing ability. Challenger represents playing levels from beginner to average or intermediate players. Open refers to players who are advanced in their playing ability. If you are unsure of what level your child is playing at, please see one of our volunteer coaches or talk to your child's coach.
Younger players can also play in tournaments. We feature a "Quickstart" format for inexperienced players 10 and under with modified game formats and a slower tennis ball.
To enter, players must be members of the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Membership dues are modest. To enroll, please go to USTA - Membership
Players are also encouraged to play in tournaments statewide. For more information, or to enter a tournament, please to to the USTA Hawaii Pacific Section's website. USTA Home
